Hello everyone, welcome to this week's Blonde Intelligence with me, Ms. Roni, where I always seek to give you exquisite cranial repertoire. On this past week an artist submitted a song for review. The song talked about women in an unfavorable way. Many songs made in Hip Hop talks about women in a derogatory manner. So my question is to the men who write and perform these lyrics….who the fuck are you? What gives anyone the right to speak, think about, and definitely not put in action towards that buffoonery. For some reason artists think that the more the grotesque the more fire the song is. For some Black Women, hearing most songs of a certain genre that is supposed to be of our culture down the very mother of that culture is disturbing. His response was there was a female on the song. This is very disturbing. What make artists think that this shit is okay? I sat in very briefly on a room on a social media platform. In the room the woman was trying to make a point and the men in the room just ganged up on her where she couldn’t speak…..the subject was Black Women Thing They’re Better Than Men? Identity Crisis. So, I am seeing from many angles the Black Woman being attacked in music and on social platforms. Could it be that Black Women (not thots) are highly respectable people, the most educated of any race, have a dual mind frame for home and business, is a financial analyst without a degree in finance. Those things are the case for many Black Women. Why would men speak in such a negative way about their mothers, daughters, sisters, nieces, and aunts? Because in essence that is what is being done. You speak negatively of Black Women in your lyrics….who the fuck are you??? Welcome to this week's Blonde Intelligence with me, Ms. Roni, where I always seek to give you exquisite cranial repertoire. As a previous indie artist manager and show manager, I have seen such fu*kery....Lawd have mercy. There are steps involved to releasing a project as an indie artist. You can not finish a project and drop it in a few damn days. Hell, some want to drop within the first hour of getting it back, skipping every damn essential step.
In the planning stage of a release certain things have to be taken into account. Every decision is interconnected to the other. In one of my horror stories as an artist manager, the artist had completed a video and wanted to release it the same day because it was edited (edited good enough for him and Vevo has a timeframe to be approved). The same scenario with releasing music. What was not taken into account? How about copyrights, PRO, Publishing, Artwork, Distribution, virtual encode, SoundExchange, Songtrust, Harry Fox, Milward-Kantar, promotion strategy, Spotify submission, video, video distribution, and so on....Could all of these things be done as soon as you walk out of the studio? I have seen indie artists not have a damn split sheet, which means it never should have reached release stage. Many indie artists do not know that music has to be encoded. Some have no idea about SoundExchange or Songtrust. Some don't know how to transfer distribution....how to get barcodes for merch...where and the allotted time to register live performances....how to get clearance on a cover song...how to register a split sheet with someone belonging to a different PRO...and so on. All of these things in some form or another affects your release date. Imagine not being registered at all...are you planning your release or just dropping shit. Welcome to this week's Blonde Intelligence with me, Ms. Roni, where I always seek to give you exquisite cranial repertoire. This past week I had an interview with a renowned producer and songwriter, Rob Wells. Of course I always try to provide nuggets of information that is beneficial to independent artists. In this interview Mr. Wells share his personal formula for writing a song. This is relevant because many indie artists write their own lyrics.

Welcome to this week’s Blonde Intelligence with me, Ms. Roni, where I always seek to give exquisite cranial repertoire. I have already touched on the subject of split sheets, but I have noticed something. Many independent artists trying to break into the industry are not understanding or never heard of split sheets. I did this interview for the show with Rothstein Beatz @IamRothsteinBeatz and I would like for you to hear what he has to say about split sheets. This week I am going to touch on branding yourself as an artist. I always artists a question, what are you known for? This question is to see which direction branding should go for endorsements, merchandising, target marketing etc. If you have any business sense as an artist, then you know that branding is important to you as an artist. You have to think about the places you perform, the audience, what makes you connect with them, what physical item that you can make tangible as an artist. Yes, thumb drives with your music, or selling t shirts is a start, but it has to go beyond that. One good example 50 cent. He started with an album that was jumping. Then a movie to correlate with the album. Then, on to the shoe line, endorsement from Vitamin Water. Another that comes to mind is E40. He started a rapper and family record label owner. Oh, did he get Sic Wid It. His stage name only made sense to start a liquor line. There are many more, but I will leave it here. The bottom line is that you as an artist are a brand. How can you make your brand tangible? I interviewed a Platinum Billboard Charting Producer, Morgan Matthews. In his interview his advice was to get around other professionals making money in your field. Artists, get around people who can help build your brand. Your brand is what’s going to make you money. Sidenote: If your structure is not in order… Don’t forget to Subscribe, Like, Share, Comment, and even Disagree with Ms. Roni’s Blonde Intelligence. Today I am going to briefly touch on being an asset or liability as an artist. According to Oxnard Languages (2021) an asset is a useful or valuable thing, person, or quality. The definition of liability, according to the same source, is a person or thing whose presence or behavior is likely to cause embarrassment or put one at a disadvantage. Every artist adds value in some type of way, even if in the form of music therapy, but does the value outweigh your liability as an artist? Are you an artist who lacks and lags, don’t follow through to completion, have warrants, risky lifestyle, negative public outburst, could you be booked for a show six months away and not be in jail…who invest in an artist with more liabilities than assets? No one… Know that more than good music makes another collaborate, invest, or be a resource if the risk outweighs the benefit. Artists assess your assets against your liability….okay. This week I want to skim a little bit on the topic of when it is time to upgrade beyond free. Anyone in business knows that many businesses do not return a profit within the first three years. So, for instance you are started a new venture….and you collected a fee. What would be done with the fee? In business, it would go back into the business. All of it. No buying new shit, no going out to eat…back into the business. The fee should have been determined by a portion of the operational costs to begin with. I have seen and heard some idiotic things that had me asking again are you shittin me or kiddin me. Things like collecting fees, but no budget for email blasts, promotion, or marketing materials….relying on free versions and labor, where they do that at? I have seen new ventures started with no recordings…how do you start a venture that rely on recordings without an option to record? That damn free version again. I don’t know about anyone else, but if I see only free versions used in your business and you’re not willing to upgrade yourself….then I am Casper. No need for anymore conversation…if you won’t pay yourself then you won’t want to pay me. Nothing from nothing leaves nothing…what goes in must come out….input vs. output…for every action there is an equal but opposite reaction…and tricks are for goats. You only use the free version….what the hell grows from free? Remember to Like Share Comment, and Even Disagree with Ms. Roni’s Blonde Intelligence. This week I have just been musing about different reports in the news, blogs, and YouTube streets. The literal words that have came out my mouth over and over again was, “what the fuck?” I consider myself an empathetic person with a sprinkle of analytic reasoning so for me, it gets to a point that ignorance no longer an excuse… I have seen politicians say things like they would be more scared of a group of peaceful mixed-race protestors than actual protestors with weapons and intent, without the right to harm. Ask a Black Man that question. I have heard a partial audio of man parent speaking to a man child in a manner so disrespectful that it couldn’t have been anybody else. I have heard women scream and beg to be protected longer than this past week. I have seen two doctors argue on television about wearing masks…testosterone at its best. I didn’t watch the Grammy’s but the YouTube streets were lit up...parents have rights to…don’t they? These are just my musings for the week. This week a few phrases stood out to me in different interactions. I feel as if these messages were meant to help someone.
1. Turn pain to purpose. 2..Replace fear with faith. 3. Faith is accompanied by passion. I am adding no more or no less. This week I want to vaguely touch on demon time or witch’s hour. Reasoning is because the ignorance or non-ignorance to acts during this specified time. Demon time is when the separation between the malevolent spiritual world and natural world is at its closest. Demon time is considered between 12-4 am, with 3am considered to be the devil’s hour. Two things happen during this time, you are either asleep or you are up. What activities are being in participated during this time? There is protection through demon time with angel numbers. 12:12. 1:11. 3:33. 4:44. According to thoughtcatalog.medium.com, the vibration of the energy is in the numbers. 12:12 highest goals and support, twin flame, love. 1:11 creation, leadership, courage, manifestation. 3:33 signals something very important manifesting in life. 4:44 protection from angels and encouragement. Sex, drugs, alcohol, threesomes, rituals, orgies, things hidden from the light of day…acts during demon time. Acts that affect your 12:12 desecrating love and marriage. Demon time destroys your 1:11, destroyed creations, loss of leadership, embedded fear…either self-inflicted or inflicted upon others. Demon time acts devour your 3:33, loss of manifestations, compromising self for the come up. Demon time acts removes your 4:44, your protection, your encouragement from people, people standing with you. Time is indefinite progress of irreversible existence and events. Demons are offspring of the devil that participate in malevolent acts. In the entertainment industry there are many temptations that will lure you in to the malevolent spiritual world. The thing is….the acts that are attached to demon time affects your life in the light. What’s done in the dark comes to the light, the good …the bad….and the ugly. Be careful of what is done on that demon time…and that’s the real fuckery. Like, comment, share, subscribe, or even disagree with Ms. Roni’s Blonde Intelligence. This week for Black History Month we will pay tribute to the beautiful soul angel, Mc Trouble. She was one of the Princesses’ of Motown, a Billboard Charting Artist, could battle with the boys, intelligent in her craft, and respectful to others but powerful. Mc Trouble, in my opinion, represented an independent Black Queen. Although she was taken far too soon, her flow is still embedded in the bedrock of the structure of Hip Hop. Still today her lyrics and flow can compete with any of the legendary emcee’s. At the age of 20 she understood the world beyond the 3-D. “…they say…I’m overstepping the boundaries over points I wanna touch…the world’s in debt, so trouble is set…to wake up my brothers and sisters who have slept…America was built from the sweat of a Black Man…(Genious.com).” Mc Trouble’s lyrics are still relevant today. When truth is spoken, it stands the test of time. Character of a person lives long after natural death. The world has got to get a grip. Black History Month, a beautiful emcee soul angel, Mc Trouble. Sunday February 28, 2021 from 5-7 pm EST2/24/2021 Welcome to this week’s Blonde Intelligence with me, Ms. Roni, where I always seek to give you exquisite cranial repertoire. This week in Black History we will honor the regulating gangsta singing, like none other, Mr. Nate Dogg. Nate Dogg was genius, he could sing about regular everyday occurrences, and make it relatable to the average homie…Hey…OG could you tell me how to find some good weed…It ain’t no fun if the homies can’t have none…say my name, cause ain’t nobody tighter than me….They can come closer than close, yeah, original they never will be…. Nate Dogg said that his music explains who he is (Dogg, 2012). I observed a few of Nate’s interviews and gathered several things about him. I observed that it was genuinely in him to show love to thy neighbor. I observed that he had an aura of a traditional alpha male. I also observed that he was funny and liked to crack jokes when he wanted to joke and when he didn’t, he didn’t. In one interview Nate said that he was never trying to portray being anyone but himself (Dogg, 2012), that he sang about what he felt, and he had love for Hip Hop in general (…the rhythm is the bass and the bass is the treble). Dj Quik described Nate Dogg as never seeing him excited (Nostalgic, 2020). Nate Dogg said that he put his emotion, any way that he is feeling into a song. He said that he makes songs about how he feels to keep him from doing stupid stuff (Dogg, 2012). Nate Dogg has a signature baritone sing gangsta rap that no other can recreate. He is listed as an artist on Vh1’s list of greatest songs of all times (Nostalgic, 2020). He is the third part of the Snoop Dogg and Warren G’s 213 out of the LBC. This week for Black History Month we will pay homage to Mr. Old Robotic, Futuristic, George Jetson, Hip Hop Historic Collaboration Crazy Joint….Craig Mack. Flava In Ya Ear was definitely a robotic, futuristic, George Jetson, crazy joint. I gathered several traits about Craig Mack from watching some of his old interviews. He seemed to be a very honorable man, truthful, extremely loyal, and stayed true to himself and style. Rappers from Long Island have a history of flowing with their own unique style…no one of them brought the same type of flava. Craig Mack’s flava was bidder badder chitter-chatter…I guess I’m gonna say Craig Mack with perfect timing. Craig Mack was the first birth of Bad Boy Entertainment. Craig Mack’s, Flava In Ya Ear grabbed Clive Davis’s attention and secured distribution for Bad Boy Entertainment. The remix for Flava In Ya Ear till this day is the absolute shit and is still robotic and futuristic. Flava In Ya Ear introduced Biggie, introduced Busta as a solo artist, gave us more butts than ashtrays….I guess I’m gonna say Craig Mack with perfect timing. For the first week in Black History we will pay homage to the legendary Sweet James Jones….Tony Snow…polo fuck that hilfiger…that trill n^gga, Ghetto Star…other half of The Underground Kingz….Mr. Pimp C. I watched several interviews of Pimp C and gathered several attributes about him. He always gave praises to the most high for his blessings. Pimp C had a strong belief in family values. Loyalty and respect meant a lot to him. He was a true artist beyond his own culture. Most importantly he always said what he meant…thus he was bout as trill as it gets. According to Wikipedia, Pimp C started synthesizing beats using a drum machine and keyboard one Christmas. According to Pimp C he got a drum machine and keyboard because he was tired of n^ggas trying to fuck him and Bun over on beats….and decided to do it himself (Malroy, 2016)….bout as trill as it gets. And he did it…polo fuck that hilfiger. Pimp C’s success has reached the top of the Billboard Charts and many more many times over. He has told us about Swishas and Dosha, how to Get Throwed, and set the standard for the International Players Anthem. One thing that Pimp C talked about in an interview is that yes, when he was younger he glorified some wrong things….but as legends get older, they have a responsibility to the younger ones coming up in the game to educate on the consequences of that life (Mindd, 2018). A salute in Black History Month to the pimped out, pimpalated pimpalation, Trill Entertainment, half of Underground Kingz, Chad the man, Mr. Pimp C…a man who was as bout as trill as it gets. This week I am going to speak with you about the purpose of video ad campaigns and promotion. You know how you are watching your favorite YouTube content creator and an ad pops up? That ad should be your video that is popping up….and yes music artists too. Now let’s not jump the gun…okay. The business end still has to be taken care of….you know copyrights, virtual encode, PRO registration, distribution, video distribution, etc…Lay your foundation first. Google Video Ad Campaigns run on 187 platforms, including YouTube. It costs as little as $50 per month and you can set length and time directly from your YouTube Channel. LinkedIn has video ad campaigns starting at $100…and of course Tik Tok, Facebook, and Instagram. There are more… Recently I ran across an app called Ripl, where you can post videos to all of social media platforms simultaneously. Let’s say an indie artist has a single that he/she wants to release….after the business groundwork has been laid, what will aid in the way to making dollars? Promotion….promotion includes video ad campaigns, interviews with vloggers, bloggers, contents creators, music reviews and making a media presence. This is also some of the press that you will include in your EPK. So let’s just say you have a promo budget of $200 for the first month and $75 per month for the next five months, that is a six month promotional budget of $575. How would you put together a promo strategy and budget? I can tell you a promo budget of $50 on a Google Ad Campaign will get you around 8000-10000 views. The work has to be good in order for the subscriptions to grow…and once you reach the subscriber threshold to monetize….then call on Scottie to beam you up. I think I have given enough jeweled nuggets for now. This week we are going to touch on the spiritual consequences of when we allow the wine and spirits to take over. Young people in the music industry need to understand what they allow when they get f^cked up. The word alcohol is derived from the Arabic word “Al Kuhl” and English word ghoul, which translates to evil demon body eating spirit. Alcohol is liquid which represents free flowing of spirits (Sharma, 2018). When someone goes dark after getting drunk, the body allows itself to be possessed by other entities. It allows acts of violence, risky sexual encounters, rape, going on a rampage, drinking and driving and more……wine and spirits. According to Smith (2019) if a person self observes the differences in before and after drinking, they have noticed uncommon behavior, changes in voice, sexual sexscapes, etc… Now imagine how an alcoholic live life on the dark side and allow the spirits to possess the body more often. There are five subtypes of alcoholics. The subtypes are the Young Adult, Functional, Intermediate Familial, Young Anti-Social, and the Chronic Severe (Smith, 2019). I am going to touch on two subtypes. The Young Adult Alcoholic makes up 31.5% of alcoholics. They start drinking around 19 and are dependent around age 24. They are more likely to binge drink. Things like pouring alcohol down another’s throat to get faded fast. I mention this group because this is the age that young fresh talent enters the music and entertainment business. The next subtype is the Chronic Severe Alcoholic. This group normally has a close family member/members that are alcoholics. They begin drinking around age 15 and dependency by age 29. This group is more likely to experience major depression and other anxiety orders. The Chronic Severe Alcoholic has the highest rate of divorce and separation, but also the highest rate of seeking inpatient treatment. Imagine depression, drinking, and sex…do you think love is being made….or the spirits taking over??? We all know the physical consequences to alcoholism but we must be aware of the spiritual consequences. Think about when you sit under the drunk tree that the evil body eating spirit sits with you….
